A lost Hunt

Story: 
When he had awoke that morning; Pup had an idea, he wanted to find one of the sunflower fields that supposedly existed in a valley between two of the mountains; it was a good day for going exploring though he also knew if he brought along one of his tokotas he could turn it into a little hunting trip for them; get at least one of them some exercise. With the crisp clear day ahead of him he went out to the tokota's paddock and whistled to call over Keeva; was her turn for a little journey after all and he was working closely with her as her rite of fortitude was coming up pretty soon and you needed a decent bond with your tokota to survive that at times.
With this in mind he remembered how dangerous the mountain regions could be "Be better to take someone along with us;" He mused as he ruffled Keeva's mane. He would have taken Splodge seeing as Splodge and Keeva got on really well together; however that would have meant the female tokota would have spent a lot of her time deciding to just try and play with Splodge instead of them actually doing anything. Their pack hierarchy was a rather clear one; so instead he got out his phone to contact Layland; he'd worked with the male before and wondered if he'd be free seeing as he had more experience with the region type they were heading too - as far as Pup knew - he thought it would be worth a shot.
"Sorry; got quite a bit of stuff on right now; Can lend you Prospero as a bit of help though" Pup agree'd to that; although he'd heard the male tokota could be a little stubborn he was a very well trained Tokota and hopefully Keeva might learn just a few manners from him; or she'd teach him bad habits; of course he hoped for the 1st option.
"I'll make sure he comes back safe and sound;" Pup grinned as he arrived at the others place; fussing the Tawny Tokota; giving a slight laugh when Keeva whined and tried to get some of the fuss too.
"Come on then you pair; we'd better get going before we lose daylight." He nodded to Layland; who gave a sort of response but then continued back with what he had been doing. It'd hopefully be a good experience for the Tawny boy.

A couple of hours had passed before they even got hint that the fields were coming up; bear tracks - quite fresh in the mud that started becoming more frequent as they headed down the mountain side. Keeva all the way had been trying to get Prospero to play and ended up bolting ahead with a bark; Pup keeping close to them by using his feral form; seeming small compared to the two giant beasts.
"Sunflowers!" He chirped happily when they finally reached the fields though panting heavily as he went back to his anthro form; turning to the two tokotas ruffling their manes. "Thank you; silly pups" He grinned at them; offering the both a treat.
Keeva took this as prime opportunity to get a good play session; bowing to get Prospero's attention she had her tail raised in the air wagging her ears perked forward; this would be a really fun game of tag if she could convince him to join her. The pair's attention was quickly taken away from the surroundings when the roar of a bear was heard; looking around the fields they spotted the brown bear followed by a white 'blurr' "Up for some hunting;" Pup said to the two tokota's as he eventually pinpointed the beast as well.
They went into 'work' mode; focusing on what was to be done; Prospero happy that the female wasn't pestering him anymore; he didn't want to play with her and she just didn't seem to understand no. As they got closer it turned out the white blurr was infact another tokota; by the brand on his side he was one of the dominants; though he didn't react to any of the noises that went on around him - and it seemed he wasn't exactly hunting the bear either more following it. "Mauja?" Pup remembered the white tokota from a rite of knowledge where he had to capture him as one of the three.
Pup kept back as Keeva and Prospero went in for the bear though; Keeva darting to get beside it and wear it down while Prospero lined up to attack and get the kill; swiping and snarling they attacked relentlessly; Keeva going for the bears legs to knock it off balance while Prospero went for the throat; a roar was sounded from the bear before a crash was sounded as the bear toppled over dead.

Later that evening Pup was returning Prospero back home; a bears pelt draped across the Tokota's back. "Thank you for letting me borrow him again! He did some good work!" Pup said as he got to the tokotas home kennel. Short words were exchanged before Pup got up onto Keeva's back - time for home and a good long rest; he was happy with their days results.
